Our homeowners insurance tripled I'm shopping new rates, but i'm close to the river, and they are saying everything over here is really high. I've raised my deductable and everything. All the other quotes i'm getting are coming in like $200.00 less then the one I have. How the HECK am I going to pay that?!?!!?

Sorry. Does your insurance cover flooding? That can be VERY expensive. I know about 2 years after I bought my house my home owners doubled. I was NOT amused.

$12 is nothing! I refinanced my house 4 years ago. Since then my monthly payments have gone up about $60 a month between increases in insurance and property taxes. Which comes to about $720 more this year than 4 years ago!
