I think the kids and I are gonna head up and get some seeds to start today. I just wondered what everyone here usually plants.
I was thinking bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, onion, tomato, patty pan squash (if I can find it), okra.

Always plant snow peas. They are so good and love the cooler spring weather. PLANT THOSE NOW, in TX.


I will do tomatoes (PRIMARY) I can tomotoe juice every year. I will probably also do Jalepeno's for the hot tomatoe juice. I don't have any luck with anything else. I will have to think about it.

We usually do tomatoes, carrots, onions, snow peas, zucchini, broccoli, jalapeños, and other hot peppers.

I don't know how much I will get done this year though cause my baby's coming at a good planting time so we'll see how it goes. Fresh veggies out of the garden are so good!!

LOL - luckily that storm isn't suppose to do much to me - only 1-2 inches they say - I must be on the northern most edge of it. But I know what you mean. I should try putting up the tiny green house my Mother gave me some time back and get some flowers started. I'm probably not going to bother with veggies as my garden has just been a big weed bed the last 3 years and I'm sick of it. Not to mention the bunnies that keep eating my garden. Though I may have some space in my strawberry bed where there are no strawberries to plant a few veggies.
