So there you have it..... I'm crazy!!

Ok, we have 3 BR's upstairs with one being the master. Then downstairs we have two BR's, 2 bathrooms, and a HUGE family room that is pretty much empty besides the desktop computer and desk. SO, we are going to be 1 bedroom short and I don't like bunking with a baby b/c they seem to always wake each other up. PITA.....
This is what we were thinking....... One of the BR's downstairs dh uses for his office. He works from home now and then and also gets calls at night / weekends and needs a quiet place to work. It is his "office" but we also have a couch that pulls out to a queen bed and recliner chair in there. The projector is set up in there so when we watch movies (no windows and in the basement) it is VERY dark and nice. The other bedroom the girls share. They always sleep with each other anyways so they might as well be together. It works fine most of the time. We KNOW Ella and the baby will need to be in the bedrooms up here. But then what do we do with Ethan. I suggested he sleep with Bob (our goat) but DH didn't think that would work. DH's suggestion is that we move the girls to the family room downstairs. It is bare and not used. Did I mention it is HUGE. It would give them actually twice the room and when we talked to them about it they both said they wanted to do that. Then we would move Ethan downstairs to their old room. But Ethan will only be 3 when the LO arrives. It makes me sad having him so far away. Do you think he would be ok? Granted it wouldn't be like he is down there all by himself since both girls would be right there too. He tries to sneak down and sleep with them often so I think he would be ok with it. WWYD? Oh, and his room now is apparently taken over with "monsters" so I don't think he would be heartbroken to leave it. I hate it when those damn monsters move in. |

![]() How about putting Ethan and Ella together for awhile? They are both very young so gender really doesn't matter at this point. I shared my room with my little brothers till I was 5 and I had a sister to share it with. ![]() |

I don't think it would work having Ethan and Ella share a room at all. Ella is a VERY light sleeper. We actually switched her and Ethan BR's a few months ago b/c of it. This way she is in the back of the house and hears less noise. Even with a white noise machine on it still doesn't take much for her to wake up. Drives me insane. Other wise I honestly would put the two of them together.
I am going to wait as long as possible to move Ethan. He can go up and down stairs like a pro but it still worries me. I know just the "mommy bear" coming out in me that I need to keep him close by. |
