We decided that it was time to refi our house....suck out the cash, pay off the loose debt, and put the rest in the bank. DH got us pre approved, and qualified. We got an apprasal done, and a survey, which they required. Everything was in place, and all the numbers were good....we were just waiting for the feds to lower intrest rates again, which they were suposed to do, and then we were going to do it right before christmas. Well, the finance company said that the comps in the area weren't good, and that they will only take the apprasal at 80,000 less than what the apprasal came back at....

so now i don't know what is going to happen....

We had the same issue when I looked at doing a refi a few months ago. Houses in the area had gone down about $40K. URGH!!! I hope something happens to help you guys out
