Two ways to do it I've found so far. Click the number of new messages you have - even if it's "0" and that will take you ther.

OR Got to User CP on the top menue
then go down the left hand column, under Private Messages and click "List Messages"

Yup, you can click the number (even if its 0) in the welcome panel, you can get to them through your userCP or there is a link under the "quick links" in the navigation bar.

I can make the private messages text clickable rather than the number in the welcome panel if that would be easier??

The location of the private messages would be my ONLY complaint. It's not easy to see and I don't like that I can't see it when I'm in "New Posts". Any way to easily fix that???
