I have a computer question for all you 'computer geeks' out there. I have stumped my DH and Heidi, and am getting frustrated.

I am trying to delete my history in IE and 4-5 websites are still showing! WTF! I have deleted my cookies, my temp internet files, my history...I've gone in the front way, the back way and have even gone into my registry edit. I'm sooooo lost. Why is it holding onto those few????

Here is what I am doing....I am cleaning everything out, and when I go to type in my web browser: "www." , If I start with a, and start typing the alpabet, there are a couple of sites that keep popping up. (Note that the websites don't 'show up' when you click on the LOV handle, only when you start to type in the web address.)

I don't use IE - but from what I remember, you'd go to edit, then preferences, then "clear all" --- and it SHOULD take care of all of it.

If not... I really have no idea why it would hang on to a couple of urls.

Belinda.....Have you cleared the auto complete. On the top of the IE browser.....go to tools.... internet options. click the content tab.....go down to where it says personal information....click the auto complete box......and then click clear forms....see if that works....

Did both of those, girls, and it's not working!!!! I just DON'T get it! You would think that either one of those would do the trick...but, it's just hanging onto those sites...and ONLY if I START to type out the website. I just DON'T get it!

You probably need to clear your history. Go back to tools-->internet options-->general tab-->go down to history-->clear history. HTH!!!

Belinda....Dh suggested you run a spyware program if not already running one....sometimes you get spyware that will not allow you to completely clear out history....you can do a free scan if you dont have one running at www.antivirus.com
