Well we have had an eventful week... First Shannon turned one on Tuesday and at the same time my step-father was having heart surgery. Everything went well and he is home recovering.

Shannon went for his check up on Friday. The Dr. says he is a little under weight however he is very healthy so he wasnt so worried about his weight. He is in the 95th percentile for his height

He is just all around in great shape.

His stats are as follows

Head: 19"
Weight: 24 Pounds
Height: 31.25"

Sounds & looks like a very healthy child to me. I have no idea why your doctor thinks he's underweight. If he wasn't getting enough to eat, he wouldn't be that tall. Take a look at what other kids weighed at that age under birth stats. He may just be tall and skinny.

I'm glad your step-father is doing well after surgery.
