Can you use a product for years and years and then all of a sudden be allergic to it? Here's what happened..
Jayden has been super clingy lately, basically needing to be held 24/7. I spent most of the weekend on the floor playing with them and he was constantly hanging off my neck and side. Monday rolled around and I was sooooo sore so I had Bobby put a little icy hot on my back and neck. I've been using it for years for my neck problems without the slightest bit of problems and I even used it a lot during Jayden's pregnancy when my neck was on the fritz all that time. It was fine, no issues at all. I didn't get a shower in until early Tuesday afternoon. Everything was still fine on Wednesday. Then yesterday afternoon my lower back was itchy and while I was scratching, it felt bumpy so I looked in the mirror and sure enough my entire back was covered in a rash. It's tiny red raised bumps and it's still there today (it's a tad more itchy today). The itching is not bad, if I don't think about it then I can get away with it not bothering me.
I figured since it's just on my back it must be some kind of reaction to the icy hot. I have no other problems (fever, etc.) but I am just getting over a touch of the cold. Jayden and Peyton ended up with it again last week (the cold). Although it seems a little weird for it to show up 3 days later so I wanted to get some other opinions on it! Nothing else was different (soap, anything I ate, etc.)
Yes - you can develope an allergy after using a product for years. But 3 days inbetween seems a bit weird and would make me think unlikely - but not impossible.

Colds....talk about sucky Florida weather. We are all sick again too....we need some rain!! I hate to say this, but I think a hurricane might do us good to kill some of the pollen and crud in the air...

My uterus is screaming at me to MAKE MORE BABIES!!
You can get an allergy or outgrow an allergy anytime in your lifetime. It can be rather random. I used to be able to eat saltwater fish no problem, then we had shrimp a few years ago and I got sick. Thought it was just bad shrimp, it happened again and thought it was just shrimp. 2 years ago we figured out it is most likely the salt water. It can happen.
Hope the rash goes away quick and you feel fine soon. Oh, and pregnancy can alter your body in strange ways too.
