I was gonna just "let it run its course" but after keeping Dh up last night with my coughing I figured I'd go in and at least get a decent cough syrup. I've been using Midrin and Ibuprofen 800mg for my sinus pain + sinus rinses + sudafed. Well it clearly showed on x-ray that my right sinus is nearly completely full. He really thinks I should see an ENT, but said we would try 15 days of antibiotics + steroids 1st. UGH! I've never had sinus issues before. WTH??? I know there are a few of you with sinus issues. Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure I get a few sinus infections every year, but I just drug myself up and let my body fight them off. But that because they never give me drugs at the clinic - so why waste my time and money??? Though because I'm still nursing, I can't take much for drugs. So unless I have green crude coming out, or I'm utterly miserable, I don't go in.

I do know some people who have dealt with chronic sinus infections and it's not fun.

My goodness girl, you poor thing. I'm glad you bit the bullet and went in.

I don't think I've ever had a major infection as an adult, though I was sick like that all the time as a kid.

Do you at least have a few days off from work?

I figured that I met my deductible, so it wouldn't cost too much either. Sad that we make decisions based on that. I'm supposed to be at work this afternoon, but they are pushing me to stay home. The problem is that my partner has worked open to close everyday since last Thursday and she's scheduled everyday this week open to close until Friday. I can't let her work my shift tonight too. I'll be off tomorrow until Friday.

How about if she covers for you today and you take her shift tomorrow? That would at least give you some more time to become less contagious.

I offered to cover some for her this week and she said no. I then got a lecture on how stubborn I am and how Target pays sick time, it's a benefit, blah, blah, blah. She even threatened to take my keys away so I can't come in So I guess I'll go pick up my rxs and some more Mucinex D in a little while, then come veg out on here with you guys
