I'm trying a mineral powder foundation for the first time and I really like it. For those of you that use it routinely, do you use concealer under it? I have the powder on today and it's imazing how much it evens out the skin tones, but I still need concealer under my eyes. Thoughts?

I don't think I can ever go back to liquid foundation.
I need concealer under my eyes too. I use regular cheapy liquid concealer. I know that they sell a powder concealer, but I can't quite get the hang of it yet.

I started out with the basic kit and have added extra kits from there....if you buy through QVC you can get some great kits that you cant get anyplace else, plus if you wanted to try something you can check it out at the BE Boutiques....I then check the stuff out there at the Boutique or Sephora or Ulta and then bid on it on Ebay...Ive gotten some great deals that way.

What type of Mineral Foundation did you buy???

A friend of mine sells Mary Kay, so I bought their new foundation. I have tons of regular concealer so I need to use it up. My problem is that I'm not completely happy with any foundation. I have a drawer full of stuff.

That is the same problem I had...nothing matched or it looked fake...im very fair with reddish tones and I couldnt get anything to cover it and not look like a mask...I found out that BE fairly light works in the winter when im not getting any sun and in the summer I use light.

I also use Bare Escentuals...and I am hooked!

I use their bisque (with maxiumum concealer brush) to conceal prior to applying the foundation. If necessary, I use the maximum concealer brush with a small amount of the FOUNDATION after application. It gives you great coverage.

Important: you need to use a foundation primer before applying your makeup. I use photo finish light by Smashbox. I also have it in a correction formula (it's green and I cannot remember the type). Stila and Philisophy also make good primers.

Primer is so essential!

Other note: Watch the DVDs that come with mineral kits...what a help!
