I am going to pull one of Ethans "nap" bottles. Wow, I can't believe I am doing this. I think he is using it more of a crutch aid in going to sleep..... I don't want to start that. So I thought for the next 2 weeks I would take his afternoon bottle away. He drinks milk great out of a cup so I am not worried about that at all. Then in 2 weeks take his morning bottle away so he only has his night time bottle until he is 1.... Then no more bottles at all. I hope I can do this. His Ped. thought this would be a good idea and more so with the new baby coming. She said that if I do it 3-4 months BEFORE baby is born that he shouldn't have any problems. Plus I am going to BF so there won't be bottles here and there anyway for a few months after she is BFing well.

My baby is growing up and I hate it.

So far so good! I give him a sippy of milk with breakfast and then offer it to him here and there in the early morning. Then by mid-morning when he is ready for his nap he doesn't even seem to miss it. I think it will be easy with the afternoon one too b/c he goes to nap not to long after lunch and once again gets a sippy. I normally give him water with lunch but I think once I switch to milk it will be ok.
