The Dr switched Michael to the regular old Enfamil Lipil a few weeks ago, and everything was find....when I had him at the Dr for his cold, the Dr was concerend since he didn't gain any weight. He told me to buy the concentrated version and only mix it with 9oz of water instead of 13. He told me it would give him 4 more calories an oz. HE also said it could make him more constipated (which we already have a problem with) We did it, and after 2 batches of formula that way, last night was AWFUL!! He woke up screaming in pain about 11, screaming so bad DH was in tears....Michael was haveing a hard time breathing he was screaming so bad...I could tell it was gas from mothers instinct, and he hadn't pooped all day. I tried warm prune juice, a heating pad, and warm water, but he wouldn't take anything. Finally I remebered that my cousin told me if he ever got really bad to take a rectal thermometer with a little soap on the end and inssert it. I did that last night out of desperation, thinking we were going to end up in the ER....within 10 minutes of taking it out, we had poop He didn't go back to sleep right away, but you could tell his belly felt better. DH went out and got him the Nutramagin, and said he rather go broke from formula than go through that again...he's had yogert and done fine, i just don't know what the problem is.....
