I love my boys!!
|
At night, when Dean wakes up, I go get him, lay him in my bed, and nurse him with us both laying down. He usually pulls off and is sound asleep. The problem is, he's not going long enough to get full before he falls back asleep. How do I keep him awake when i can barley stay awake myself? And for some reason now he's having a hard time keeping my boob in his mouth. He looses the suction, and then fusses cause he hcan't find it again.

Because I said so, that's why!

Liriel was much older than Dean is now before she could latch on without help. While you are awake, or when he wakes you up,
relatch as needed. Then lightly touch his check to get him to suckle. Try rubbing the palms of his hands. Change sides if he's falling asleep.Keep in mind that the milk late at night tends to be higher in fat, thus more calories, so he doesn't need as much. This is true till 3-4 in the morning when you should start filling up with less fatty milk. Generally speaking. |
