anyone feeding (or going to be feeding) follow up formula? I'm wondering if I should give Lauryn 1/2 that and 1/2 milk for the next 6 months because she's so small and hasn't been eating well.

Koloe

I would ask your doctor about it. I saw someone just post that in Canada they recommend formula for 18 months. I know babies should be nursed at least 2 years (though in the US babies are lucky to be nursed 1-year - which is all they recommend in the US).

I had a sample can of that and the babysitter said she won't drink it I don't know what I'll end up doing, but her dr appointment isn't until the end of the month. Maybe I'll buy another brand and see if she'll drink it.

I would talk to her doctor about it too. Since Ethan got a taste of the real thing he would touch his formula that I didn't even bother trying it on him. I got a free can in the mail too and just gave it to the womens shelter since I didn't even open it.

Probably not at this point. I am keeping her on formula until her 12 month appt on August 7th. Hailey is not all that big either, so I want to see what she recommends at her appt. I am still nursing about 2 -3 times a day also.
She is not to big on the milk thing yet. I may try warming it a little to make it more like formula.

Yeah, Carson has been getting the Carnation Goodstart 9-24 months formula now in the morning and at night and at least 2 sippys of whole milk during the day.

I too am not fully switching over because of his recent poor eating habbits. He use to love anything I put in his mouth, NOW all he would rather do is play or point at things he wants to play with. Eating has become quite the chore for him at our house.

Also, I tried giving him a different brand of formula, a cheaper brand -- he didn't want anything to do with it.
