Ok Since we are done with the bottle I was packing them up.
My ? is I can keep the bottles and use for #2 right? What about the nipples? do they need to be replaced, or can I reuse those too? Also what about paci's? Mason hardly used them, can they be saved and used for the new bean? TIA! |

Welcome home baby Lily!!!

I've heard they're ok to use for again if you hold the nipples up and you don't see any cracks at the end and the same for the pacifiers. If you wash them and pull and it and no water gets inside and they're secure at the bottom. If it was several years between kids, then I would get new nipples and pacifiers but this close together I would use my things over again and not buy new.

So there you have it..... I'm crazy!!

I just pitched everything and got new.... But my kiddos were all 4 yrs apart. I got rid of all of Ethans stuff with the exception of 2 bottles, lids, and lids but he is still having one bottle a day. I also kept my Avent and nurser bottles to use with this one but I pitched the nipples.

I got the best Christmas present this year!

I heard with the paci's if the nipple was cloudy you should get new. And with nipples the same. SO I ended up using some b/c Gage didn't use them much and they are only 19 months apart. So it will depend on how they look when you need to use them.

I think I read that you're supposed to get new nipples and pacis every few months (every 3 mos., maybe? of course, I can't remember where I read that). Pacis tend to start to look clouded after a while and I'd do what others have suggested to check if the nipples are ok to still use or not.
