Okay so Maddox has decided to go on a food strike He will really only eat table foods now. I don't know what to feed him. I need some ideas.
Right now for breakfast I have been giving him toast with olive oil on it and a scrambled egg yolk. I don't have any lunch and dinner ideas. I don't want to give him soup or anything really salty. What are your babies eating now? HELP ME PLEASE

Re: Need ideas badly!!
We do whole milk organic vanilla yogurt, graham crackers, low sodium ritz crackers, spaghetti-cut very small, BBQ chicken-he loves that, any chicken cut super small, grilled cheese, toast, I am going to make the wholesomebabyfoods.com meatballs today so I will let you know how that works out-basically it is meatballs with rice or barley cereal and I am going to grind up veggies too. We also do mashed potatoes-no salt added, and baked sweet potatoes. He also likes overcooked rotelle with either marinara or jsut a little butter and parm cheese. Anything I eat I give him small bites of as long as there is no honey or nuts. Jake still has no teeth so I cut everyting up super small but I think most anything is okay. He does not like spaghettios or any of the gerber graduates stuff. It is tough when they stop teh baby food thing-I aways start thinking what am I gonna feed him then I just give him what I am eating. Typical day is breakfast yogurt and toast; lunch grilled cheese and veggie of some sort, dinner is pasta or chicken and bread. He has 2 snacks usually crackers-graham or ritz and if I am lucky he will eat a fruit or veggie but some days he won't eat those. GL-Isn't it amazing how big they are getting?
We usually do fruit and cheerios in the morning. sometimes he'll have a bagel with cream cheese or a pancake instead of cheerios(those are mostly when we go out though).
the rest of the day he eats whatever we are eating. the only time I make something special is if I'm having something I'd rather him not have. We ALWAYS have some type of fruit or vegetable with meals. He'll eat mostly anything (except peas)

Re: Need ideas badly!!
We do a lot of yogurt. Lauryn loves it. She eats toast, pancakes and waffles (no syrup if I can help it, but sometimes she gets Thomas'). she really likes spaghetti (not spagettios). Tonight she had some sausage cut up really small. I've given her eggs (fried and scrambled), malt-o-meal, oatmeal, wheatabix, pasta (with a little marg), chicken or turkey (cut up really small), green beans, mashed potatoes, swedes (rhudabaga with marg), mac and cheese. Meal time can be tricky. I start out giving her what I'm eating. If she won't eat when I feed her, then I try and let her self feed. If that doesn't work, then I break out the jar food or yogurt. HTH!
Thanks guys. I guess we are on the right track. Alot of our meals are chicken and salad or hamburgers and corn on the cob stuff like that. I have been giving him the veggie but the meat (I have only tried him with chicken) he stores it at the top of his mouth KWIM? this scares the hell out of me! I just don't know if he is getting enough. Tonight I tried a jar of baby food. He ate about 4 bites. I then cut up asapragus (which he LOVED) and gave him some rice. Are your babies eating meat? if so how are they doing? If not do you feel they are getting enough?
We do meat. Liriel really likes the sliced turky (for sandwiches). She also is fond of chicken. she likes to take bits of my hamburgers, but she won't eat the burger if I chop it up for her to eat as finger food. Basically if it's soft, or small/soft enough to swallow with minimal chewing, I'll let her try it. I've given her fish a couple times, but she's NOT interested at all. She's fond of cheese - in a varitety of forms. Peas and corn go down well. (I've been using the frozen veggies). I bought a few new frozen veggies, but I haven't tried them yet.
