oranges
I just gave Hannah a slice of orange in her mesh thing. She loved it, but now I'm freaking out because I can't remember if it's ok for them to have citrus yet. Can someone ease my mind?

Re: oranges
I just found this on the internet...
Citrus or berry fruits and juices should not be offered until your baby is a year old.
Now what? Will she be ok? It was just one slice...
Somebody help! I feel like such an awful mom...

Re: oranges
You should hold off, but one slice won't hurt her. Don't offer her anymore, though. I love oranges and clementines. So does my daughter. I can't wait till Ian can eat them. =)

Re: oranges
I don't think one slice will hurt her. She didn't have any allergic reaction to it did she? No bumps around her mouth or splotchy skin? If she didn't, then it sounds like she didn't have a reaction and it probably would have shown up pretty quickly.
Don't fret about it a lot...you didn't know and she's ok. At least when she gets a few more months older you know an orange will be one of her favorites.

Thanks! She was fine last night and fine this morning! Just had to have something to worry about, I guess!

I've also heard 1 year because of allergies. That being said, they're really close to being at that 1 year mark
I've given Lauryn a tiny bit of orange and she's also had berries. We don't have any allergy issues so far.

Re: oranges
Tyler loves oranges, I only give him them in moderation because I know to much of the citrus can give bad diaper rash. Rachel used to love Mandarin (sp)oranges when she was around 2. One time she at a whole can and the next day her bottom was raw. poor girl.
