Sunday I ran a 10K (6.2miles). I really shouldn't have since I am still injured, but I had already paid and was going for the weekend with some friends.
I didn't do too bad considering that I HAD to take walk breaks to keep the pain tolerable. I finished with a chip time of 108:53 (an hour and nearly 9 minutes). I was 205 out of 284 runners. If I could had run the whole thing I would have easily knocked 5-10 minutes of my time.
Now I am resting my leg, doing PT and some MT. I am hoping to run the big White Rock Marathon in Dallas this December. I have heal fast so I can get back to training!!
good for you.. I am sure you know it but keep it in mind the more you push yourself while your healing the longer your heal time will be. Its hard thought I know.

Great job! Try not to push yourself too much. You don't want to be like my DB. He's just falling apart now because he always pushes his body to the limit and beyond.

Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??
I am so impressed! I could never, ever even think about attempting something like that. Running is just torture to me Take care of yourself and get ready for White Rock

Good for you!! How exciting. I am glad you did so well. You really have to get your leg better, that is what put me out from running for a very very long time.
