I *think* I finally got Darren talked into buying a new to recently new vehicle. I fell in love with the HHR at the state fair.. I want something sporty. no vans... and in reality I need a 4 or all wheel drive. Thats the only downfall to the HHR's. Darren is pushing toward the 4 door trucks like the Colorado. Which they are nice but a little generic inside.. Darren has no idea what I mean by that but its just kind of plain nothing special..
SO.. what do you drive/ what do you like?? And If I am being COMPLETELY unrealistic.. I would be getting a Camaro or Mustang.. lol.. Please tell me I am not the only car geek here... |

i absolutely looooooove my truck..i have a 2000 black dodge durango. We got it for 1700 dollars and thats because my husband works for Carmax and was able to get it on wholesale (other wise you would have to wait for an auction to buy it out like that). But buying a car from carmax on wholesale your getting a car that might be perfectly fine but has 100,000 miles on it. Or in our case ours has some minor inside cosmetic damage (nothing that my husband cant fix beings this is what he does there).
You can get some really great deals though, you can get almost a brand new car for wholesale all because it has some miles on it. We also have a 2003 2-door ford explorer sport..but i gave it to my sister because i really needed a 4 door with a baby coming and it was really hard to get my son in and out of the backseat and lets not mention moving the carseat if we had too! There is nothing wrong with getting the car you want, just gotta put your foot down!..lol -Now if only i can get my husband to leave my truck alone! |

I've got a minivan.
And I happen to like the versatility of it. Though it would be nice to have a new one. Or even one with 100,000 to 150,000 less miles on it. I now have a 172,000+ miles on it! It only had about 30,000 when I bought it. Though I might look at some thing significantly more fuel efficient for my next vehicle. Especially if my next job should entail a lot of driving. But it must be MUCH better on gas mileage to be worth giving up my people/cargo capacity (which I do use often enough). |

I drive a Chrysler Pacifica. =)
But, I have to have enough room to keep my kids separated - and I was WAY sick of driving a minivan. ![]() Mine is black with chrome... and it's fast! =) I my car. Seriously. I love it. However, if I had one less child I'd be driving something smaller and more fuel efficient. Dh has a Ford 500 and I drive that when I don't have the kids with me. =) OH...and edited to add... I drove an HHR for a weekend when I was in San Francisco for a conference. I LOVED it!! |
