If you could change 1 thing about your significant other, what would it be?
I have a very long list of things I would like to see changed. But if I could only pick 1 - it would probably be to have him eat a MUCH larger variety of food, including vegetables and salads and such. It's probably the one trait he has that really has a negative impact on me and our child. Because he won't eat healthy, then neither do we. Not that I don't try, but he is pretty much meat and potatoes and never the twain shall meet. And he prefers deep fried to a healthier baked or poached. And of course Liriel and his son see this as a "normal" way to eat. Callie's recipe post just got me to thinking about this today - though it has occurred to me many times in the past. ![]() |

If Ty says it's big, then trust him - it's BIG!

Darren is that way too. All of our meals are meat, potato/noodle and a veggie.. The veggie is there because *I* make the meal. Darren asked me one day while fixing it why cant we have meat, potato and noodle and I told him because we need the veggies. One other time the girls asked why daddy doesnt have green beans on his plate and I said yes daddy why dont you? He got up and got some..
If I could change one thing it would be to have him LISTEN to me.. I get so tired of repeating myself. Not only in the moment will he say huh 2 out of 3 times but days later when he asked what was going on that day as I am walking out with the kids, I know I told him at least 3 times what we were doing.. Or even better, We went to the State Fair yesterday, I was looking up what was going on and I asked him do you know how to get there? He said yea. We get up there and he asks me Which exit do I need to take? ![]() |

Nope, can't change his mother. Like I said, my list is quite long and some are probably much more important in the grand scheam of things. But I like trying new things when it comes to food and he pretty much refuses to try anything new or different unless it's a form of candy. And even then not necessarily. |

ok i will agree with all you have all said...well except for Terri...switch that and make it that he has a sex drive....Ed eats terribly too, doesnt listen, his mom sucks...but probably the thing that bugs me the most is the fact that he cant seem to handle being with his child for more than an hour alone without him having a complete and utter meltdown. I would like to be able to go out with the girls, go to a store alone, or even better pee and shower alone.

Equal Opportunity Offender Hussy!

If I had my way I would OBLITERATE his inner man-child. You would never know that this white collar, well heeled, well educated, great father plays PLAYSTATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO sick of hearing about his video games and his strategies for the games and the people who play the games with him. I_HATE_IT.
It has been the source of many fights. It has our marriage in shambles, to be honest. It repells me from him (sexually). There, I said it. That feels better...boo hoo, right? |
