"Where is the other Grandma?" is the question Liriel asked when we got to her grandmas' house Wednesday morning. Such a sad question. How to explain to a 2-year-old that the other grandma is gone and won't be coming back.

DB did not kill his aunt whom he despises - that was good.

Liriel wanted to play catch me if you can in church during the funeral service, so I had to remove her pretty early (after she crawled under the pew and said "You can't catch me! " And she laughed and giggled loudly as I dragged her out). Her 5-year-old sister got sent out with us because she just kept chatting away during the service. DB said that the 2 worst behaved kids during the service were his.

Then at the cemetery Liriel kept taking the doll off her cousin's grave. Which was behind the great-grandparents and next to the great uncle who died at age 3 from drowning as well.

I think it was a good funeral - but I spent most of my time keeping rambunctious child(ren) out of trouble.
