Welcome home baby Lily!!!

I would like to garden but not sure where to start. There is the perfect site out by the yard bard where you could see it from the kitchen while you are eating but I'd like to start a rose garden there. I used to work with a woman who was a whiz at rose bushes. She'd bring in the most beautiful clippings and they would have names such as Mr. Lincoln, Dolly Parton, etc. I'd like to plant several bushes with different varieties of roses.
That's a goal of mine next spring. |

AMY, I have heard many things about roses. They are easy, they are hard. All depends on who you talk to.
I am looking at a pamplet now on a rose garden. We are trying to get things going for next years vegetable garden. Mixing in compost and stuff. I can tomatoe juice and we do BIg beef's for eating. I grow indian corn for my fall decorations. That is pretty much it. My cucumbers dies, oh yeah I grew parsley, but it got overgrow when I was PG b/c I didn't cut it and it went to from there. So I may replant that, for my spaghetti dishes.Tricia |

WOW they are beautiful. We have white delphinums (I wanted the dark purple), and I haven't done anything to them and they seem to do pretty well. Those are staked right>????? I didn't stake mine this year, I got behind in everything and they fell over. I have gladiolus's next to those and columbine in the spring. Plus a HUGE bleeding heart. Do you use and particular feritlizer on your delphinums.
About my rose shrubs. I am not sure I should cut them that much. They literally are shrubs and are continuous bloomers. They are about 6 feet high, and I am still getting blossums. SO I am not sure I should wack them. DO I do it know. THey were planted when we bought the house. Along with ALOT Of other things. Some of which I seem to be not doing the right thing. Like my iris's. They didn't bloom last year. AT ALL!! I am not sure if I should dig them up and divide them or leave them be. I have seem HUGE flower beds with them and they seem to do pretty well. I have 2 circles of them and then they are spread out all over on the property. THis is so much fun. Tricia |

I don't. I know they say you have to but I have yet to and they come back every year. I do have one patch now, hum wonder what happened to those this year nothing ever happened. I did dig those up to move them and I think they were infected with some kinda disease. But my regular garden they stay in ALL year.
