I got the best Christmas present this year!

Both the boys have Fleece blankets. The kind that has two pieces and the edges are knotted together.
Does anyone know how much fabric to get for those? I would like to make one for Tierney but don't want to pay for a pattern since they are SO easy. |

Depends on how big you want one. For a baby I usually make them pretty small, but if you want more use out of it later on...you could probably get away with 1 yard of each. The kit that I have says 60X72....but that is for a pretty big blanket, they have smaller ones that are 48x60...I know fleece is on sale at Joann fabric this week for $7.99 a yard and the kits are on sale for $14.99 for the small one and $19.99 for the larger.

Because I said so, that's why!

Yep - 3 feet per yard. I would go with about 1-1/2 yards myself. Keep in mind you will lose some length with the fringes. You could also ask at the fabric shop before they cut it it, to see if it looks big enough to you. They may also have some really good advice on size to go with.
