I want to use it to make my pictures better and alter them a bit here and there. I am taking classes on photography and my DH is setting me up a little room so I don't have to take down my lights / backdrops / etc.. I am super excited to really get going on this. But I want to be able to fine tune my pictures. kwim?

I use CS2 and love it. Try searching for some free actions, theres a ton out there. For me it was easier to learn PS by playing around and trying it out rather than reading tutorials.

Here is a free class you can take on HP's Website called Touch up digital photos with Adobe Photoshop Elements. They teach alot of basics but it is well worth it.
