Equal Opportunity Offender Hussy!
|
I bought an advanced point & shoot camera last night. It's the Kodak Z712 EasyShare 7.1 Mexapixel with 12x optical zoom. I know it's rather elementary for you experienced gals, but it's a huge upgrade from what I had. I see that there are a million different settings (or so it seems) that I need to learn to use. I really like it so far. The video feature is really cool, too.
I think I need a tripod. What do you ladies think? Any tips you can offer would be great!! PS - I bought the 4 year service plan - probably a smart idea with the baby! Here's the camera: http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQueri...requestid=6378 |

Looks like a nice camera, Hope Suzanne sees this post because she is the ultimate person to ask questions. I only use a tripod if Im doing posed work. Like portraits, It is too much of a pain to lug it around with me and set it up. I did take a picture each month on the day of Kaitlyns birth until she was 12 months old and I used the tripod for that.
Here is a link to some articles on taking better photos...some of these tips helped me alot.... http://www.hp.com/united-states/cons...plearn/ipg/dp1 |

Because I said so, that's why!

We have older versions of that camera at work. It's a decent camera. You probably only need the tripod for posed photos. Use it a bit and you will probably find you don't really need one most of the time. Most cameras now days are able to deal with shaky hands.

Picture perfect everytime

Looks good! I don't know much about that camera but if you have any specific questions I bet we can help you figure it out! As for the tripod I doubt you will need it much. It helps for family shots if you are going to try to use the timer or remote. As long as you keep your shutter speed up you should be fine to hand hold it.
Now let's see some pictures!! Suzanne |
