A friend of mine would like to buy her DH a DSLR for his birthday. He really likes our camera which is a Nikon D50. Though she has said that he prefers Cannons. I know several of you have either a Cannon XTi or Cannon XT. What is the difference between those and a Cannon EOS 30D?
The XT is the older version of the XTi. The XT is 8mp the XTi 10.1mg (I think). The XTi has more focus points, a sensor cleaner, and a bigger LCD screen, those are the main differences between it and the XT. The 30D is a bigger camera, with a heavier metal body. It has 9 focus points and has the ability to spot meter. I believe it also has a larger LCD screen but not sure if it is bigger than the XTi. The 30D is just a better quality camera, and also more expensive. The next step up from the 30D (at least right now) is the professional full frame camera called the 5D. HTH!
