I think this is it.
I was thinking it wouldn't be as good in b/w as bailey's b/c of the color..... of his jacket already being dark. ![]() Can you list the steps??? DO you do a layer each time you do a unsharpen mask?? i just want to understand..... Last edited by 3xysnme; 03-09-2007 at 01:22 PM. |

Okay...
First I pulled it into PS and went to Layer->New Adjustment Layer->curves. That will pull up a curves graph. On that graph I pulled the curve line down a little on the right/top and up a little on the left/bottom. It darkened my image since his face was a little overexposed in the original (just slightly overexposed actually.) Then I went to Layer->flatten image and got this... Original ![]() ![]() Then I did a light defog of 14/40/1 and got this... ![]() Then I cropped it and got this... ![]() Then I used a free action I have to convert to B&W and got this.. ![]() After that I went to Layers->New Adjustment Level->Levels and moved the sliders around until I liked what I saw and then I went to Layer->flatten image and got this... ![]() Then I USM at 75/1/1 and was done! ![]() And this is another conversion (the same as baileys) with a different action with the same steps just substituted this action for the previous one. ![]() If you want the free action set let me know (the second action I used is copyrighted and I can't give that one out) and I will E-mail it to you...it will only work in ps7 and up though! Let me know if you have any questions! Suzanne |
