Working Hard Keeping the Hussy's In Line

Ok. I have the 'chalking pencils' if you could even call them that. I don't even really know if that's what they are called. Maybe they are called blending pencils?
Sad isn't it???Anyway, I just bought the large plastic tray with the 16/20 different color chalks from Michaels, and was just wondering, do I need to spray that with anything so that the chalk doesn't smear? Actual question: Does the chalk smear?????????????? Help! |

No spraying needed...you can spray with a fixative. I usually blend them with a cotton ball and blow off any excess so that it doesnt rub off on anything. I have never used a fixative...some women even use hairspray to set it but I doubt that is ACID FREE

OK...so, even though it's eraseable, I won't have to worry about it smearing on areas that I don't want it to? Just want to be sure. With the pencils that I have now, I HAVE to spray it, because it smears REALLY easily and gets everywhere!

I've heard of people using hairspray too but I would only do that if you're making a card. If it's for your scrapbook, like Lisa said it's not acid free and it could cause problems down the road.
I use my chalk very lightly but then I don't have the pencils put the pads of chalk in a set and I use cotton swabs to put it on and just blow the excess off. |
