Men Just Love To Stare At My Monster Nipples!!!
|
I need help! I teach the pre-school sunday school class and I want to make a Mother's day gift. My thought was to make votive candle holders out of baby food jars and tissue paper. Can I dilute glue and use that? Do I tear the paper?
Any help or ideas are appreciated!! |

Yup! I take regular Elmers white glue and thin it out with a little water. You can cut or tear the tissue paper, dip it in the glue and stick it to the container and let dry. Meghan did a soap dispenser for MIL for Christmas and it turned out really cute!

Another way to do it would be to use paintbrushes to "paint" the glue on (have the kids paint the outside of the jar w/the glue/water mix, then stick on the tissue paper, then "paint" glue over it. I think that would work, anyway (that way they might not get as much glue on their hands which would then stick to the tissue paper?). The only thing is (I'm thinking as I'm typing - LOL), doesn't tissue paper "bleed" when it comes into contact w/ water?
I used to be a preschool teacher but I've never actually tried this using tissue paper. I used this method when I had them decorate boxes w/torn pieces of wrapping paper. Turned out really cute. ...since Suzanne's actually done it, I'd go w/what she says |
