Tricia and I are scrappin' together this weekend (yup, the old fashion way...not digital scrappin). Does anyone know of any online websites where Tricia and I can get some 'inspiration' for some of our pages?

I've been scrappin for almost 7 years, but, Tricia is new at this. I haven't scrapped in two years! I know, I'm horrible...and, I wanna get back into it...but, need a kick start. Can anyone give us some feedback on the free magazines, where to go, and who has some great ideas online for when we get together this Sunday???? TIA.

Thanks so much Lisa...just what I was looking for! I couldn't remember any of the sites I used to go to!

Of course you can join us...it's a bit of a drive for you from WI to VA though. It would be nice...You will have to take some pics and post them for me to see. I will have to do the same (as soon as Tricia shows me how to work Photobucket and all of this high-tech stuff)!

It would be worth the drive....nobody in my family or friends scrapbook and they think I am crazy for doing it...but they all love when I give them finished books for gifts..... My mom is kinda getting into it...but usually she picks out the pictures and I do all the rest.... I have made books for both of my sisters kids(my 1 niece stood up to my wedding so I made all the kids one for that-my niece and dh's niece and nephew)....when my sister was preggo I made a book for the baby....i have added her baptism pics and will add the 1st birthday pics now that she had her birthday...plus made one for my dh's nephew for his baptism....and prescrapped a book for my cousin, all done except for the pics that she needs to add and any journaling about the event- i included pages for first haircut, first tooth, first bath, first birthday and a place for her to add the date and journaling....she loved it.

I have a bunch of stamps also but apparently I am doing something wrong b/c my ink is smearing.

Belinda's SIL said it was crappy ink but it is what came from the kit.

What kind of ink is it? That can happen with crappy ink but also I noticed it does take somewhat of a learning curve to stamp. I used to smear all the time even using good ink but the more i did it the better I got. One thing I noticed...i have to have the paper Im stamping on lower than I am, so if I am stamping I have to stand or Kneel on my chair to get a good impression(since Im such a midget) .....if I am doing it at chest level, It gets all goofy....if I am looking down on the paper and pressing the stamp straight down I do better....also you can buy a stamp a ma jig

that helps you line up the stamp for perfect placement...I use it when I use letter and number stamps so they are all in an even row. You can buy them at any craft store that sells stamps-Michaels or Joann.
