Jodi is still real sick. She's lost 115 pounds. The tumor in her stomach is so bad you can see it thru her skin. She can't really stomach anything, and she isn't eating. Can you think of anything i can make for her? I made some homemade chicken broth (she's not eating solids) she said she tried boost, but didn't like the way it tasted. She can't stomach dairy. She's tried protein shakes, but she dosne't like the way they taste. I told Nate to give her some flat soda maybe. I also told him that Smoothie King will make vegan shakes (they do for us) and that might be an idea. Any sugestions?

I'm sorry Jess. I know this is really tough and I'm glad you are trying to help. I wish I had some suggestions for you. Have you gone to Whole Foods (or something similar) and asked them for suggestions? I've found the staff to be very helpful and full of suggestions. They might know of something. Can she do soft foods like pudding or ice cream (vegan alternatives of course)? I keep her in my prayers.

I'm sorry your friend is going through this. I would recommend the broths being good choices. Juice would be good too. Can you puree anything for her?

I would try calling a Hospice service in the area and see if they can suggest anything for you. As they probably have a lot of experience in this department.
