Emma, how many servings did you get out of it?
I wonder how many points that bar would be? I'm thinking at least 4 with the cup of sugar, eggs and flour??? If you can tell me the servings, I can figure out the points.

What about trying less brown sugar and up the amount of cinnamon for flavor or adding vanilla-don;tknow if that helps calorie wise. Just suggestions from things I have tried with muffins and breads. I just wanted to say I am impressed that you made your own....it seems complicated

It was a 9x13 inch pan and I cut it into like 24 rectangles. I also experimented with an apple muffing recipe made with Splenda yesterday. It was ok, but had that after taste

Some times Splenda is better if you go half Splenda and half sugar. My boss has tried making things with Splenda because he's discovered he's diabetic. But foods tend to be drier/crumblier with it vs sugar.

The texture was pretty good with the muffins, maybe because it also has applesauce in it?? The after taste was just that....blah!

I haven't really noticed a major aftertaste with Splenda. Though I don't disagree that it is there.
But here my devil's advocate question - applesauce has plenty of carbs in it. Is that better than oil? I know if you are diabetic the answer may be no as fat helps slow the absorption of carbs down. But if carbs by themselves are not the issue and high cholesterol is, then the answer would be yes, applesauce is better. LOL

I would think that calorie-wise the applesauce is better, but I haven't checked it.
