Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??

It's Bird's custard powder. I bring it back from England, but I think I've seen it here too. It's a staple in my family. I never make custard from scratch
![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird's_Custard You mix 2 Tbl of the powder with 2 tsp of sugar and a little milk taken from 1 pint of milk and make a paste. cook the remaining milk of the pint until nearly boiling then mix it with the paste you made. Return it all to the saucepan and cook until it boils and you've got custard The "instant" stuff is nasty and not worth it. The ready made in a tin (Ambrosia brand) is like heaven on Earth Last edited by Emma; 02-18-2008 at 11:03 AM. Reason: I forgot to tell you to add the sugar. Duh! |
