OK, let me clarify.... that's our Menu for this year but I'm certainly not making all that myself. Are you kidding me.
There's 7 families that get together ~ all on Bill's side ~ and we ALL pitch in and make something from the list.
Remember.... I'm the one who, even as an adult, doesn't cook dinner for my family every night. My mom makes us dinner *almost* every single night.
I think I'd die if I had to make all that food myself.
And here we thought you were a Thankgiving Goddess.
That's what my family does - host makes turkey - and probably 1 or 2 other things ussually potatoes and stuffing - and everyone else brings some thing. I'm suppose to let my brother know what I'm bring tomorrow. Geeze - can't I just show up with what ever I feel like making Wednesday night?
I think I'd die if I had to make all that food myself.
It's better to have help - then you get to actually ENJOY the holiday!!
I'm too much of a control-freak to let people in my kitchen with me - MIL constantly hovers around, "Can I do anything?" and I usually want to knock her over the head with a frying pan since there's usually at least one screaming kid needing entertainment
Now if only I can transfer some of my OCD about food over to housecleaning ...

if you can figure that out let me know....i need a switch too. My house is a pigsty.....but all my supplies for Thursday are all neat and ready to go...and my spice cabinet is alphabetical.
I do not know what we are having..we will be in VA for Thanksgiving...We are bringing a frozen turkey though...DH got it free from work, so we are throwing it in the cooler with dry ice to bring down.

Doesn't it take a day or two for a complety frozen turkey to thaw out? How long after you arrive are you suppose to be cooking it?

We are cooking it the next day..so maybe we should take it out of our deep freezer on Tuesday...I am clueless about this stuff, DH has always done the turkey.
