The aggravation of "what's for dinner" or we don't have x to my Y AND EMMA posting about her MENU has lead me to make my own.
What an easy week it has been!! I know what is for dinner and the week before i know what I need to get at the grocery store. THANKS Emma If anyone would like to share meal ideas I would love to have new receipes so that our menu doesn't get old. |

Working Hard Keeping the Hussy's In Line

I also keep a magnetic note pad on my fridge and as the kids need something or we run LOW (NOT OUT, but LOW) on something, we add it to the 'list' of items needed. Of course, I always, always keep 'staples' on hand like: spaghetti noodles, spaghetti sauce, canned veggies, frozen hamburger meat, instant rice, mac n cheese, hotdogs (in the freezer-I buy extra when they are BOGO at Food Lion), hot dog buns/hamburger buns (in the freezer), cans of mamwich, frozen bags of chicken, cans of cream of whatever soup, flour, frozen bags of veggies. As long as you have some 'staples' on hand, even a rushed night, dinner can be an easy night.
We have Friday night as "pizza night" and usually Wed as Spaghetti night, so that only leaves me Monday, Tues and Thursday during the week to worry about a quick meal. On the weekends I cook things that take longer than 30 minutes to make (like Lasagna, meatloaf, chicken pot pie - things like that). I make A LOT of crockpot meals. |
