Yum coffee...im the opposite, I love the flavor of coconut but cant stand the flakes. But I do like it fresh.

girls, girls, girls. You're making me HUNGRY here!
I've done a similar recipe by Alton Brown. He has one that you set aside and make as much as you want. He gives you the recipe to make one batch, but, you can store the flour, sugar mix and pull it out for another batch later.
I will cetainly have to try this!
David makes a great pancake and believe it or not, it uses LEMON JUICE instead of buttermilk. The lemon juice reacts with the baking soda and makes really fluffy YUMMY pancakes. I will have to find the recipe and post it.

Lemon Juice in milk is often a substitue for buttermilk or sourmilk - well, at least one of those 2.

Yep, when in a pinch I use the lemon juice and milk trick for buttermilk. It's not exactly the same, but beats running to the store on Saturday morning for a bottle of buttermilk. You can also use vinegar and milk.

Oh good...see, I just learned something.
Lemon juice is a lot easier to store and CHEAPER than buttermilk!
