If I tried serving DB that I think HE would turn green. Actually he turns green at the thought of eating a lot of what I consider yummy foods. Although I will admit I bought a package in an attempt to feed it to the little monster and she didn't care for it. I know you can cube it and add it to soups for protien. Get the soft stuff and puree it into sauces, hot dishes, etc.Last edited by Koloe; 03-16-2007 at 01:36 PM. |

We LOVE tufo dishes. They are all use soy sauce though but I'll post them anyways in case you would like to try them. I use low sodiom soy sauce and it still tastes good and it cuts back on the salt. Plus some of them use soy sauce but it isn't the main ingerent in the sauce.
With this one I never deep fry the tofu because I really don't need the extra fat. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Braised...fu/Detail.aspx Somewhat spicy and tasty! http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Hot-and...fu/Detail.aspx The picture on this one looks a little gross and it does taste a little different but we like it. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Agedash...fu/Detail.aspx You find this one at a lot of Chinese resturants and it's my second favorite. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Ma-Po-Tofu/Detail.aspx This one is our all time fav. but it is authentic Taiwanese so not everyone loves it. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Taiwane...fu/Detail.aspx I hope you can find at least one you like! If not I know that site has a lot of other tofu recipes, I just haven't tried them. |

I'll admit it. Im the crunchy one! We don't eat a whole lot of meat unless it is organic (pretty much anything we eat actually. right down to ketchup) Tofu is cheap and can be yummy. Here are a few that I likeTofu Cutlets firm tofu soya sauce lime juice honey garlic chili sauce (less amout of the last three) cut tofu in to about 4 slices marinate slices in everything for at least a few hours back at about 350 for 45min Stir fry fry tofu cubes in soya sauce (or whatever) combine bag of stir fry mix (or when in season fresh veggies) I find when the tofu is drained properly the texture isn't that bad. I am trying new recipes all the time. I'll send the ones I like your way |
