Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??
buttermilk question
I'm making buttermilk pie for Thomas' thanksgiving feast at school. the lunch is on Tuesday the 14th. I have a huge thing of buttermilk in the fridge but the use by date is the 12th. Do you think I should make the pie this weekend and keep it in the fridge 'til Tuesday or freeze the buttermilk now to extend the life of it and make the pie Monday night? TIA!
Is it a "use by" date or a "sell by" date? I use my milk and egg products Looooong after the date on the carton. I've not had any problems. IF the appear to have gone bad, I dump them. But 2 days - if kept in the fridge - is unlikely to cause problems.
