Future Iron Chef....

I have 3 outside on the steps, and I keep thinking..."they need to go byebye now."
I'm not really sure how to cook them. But, I make spaghetti squash a lot, and I just put it cut side down in a microwavable dish, put a little bit of water in the bottom and cover it with plastic wrap. Then I cook it for several minutes, until tender. I'm assuming you could do the same with a pumpkin, since it is a type of squash - but I've never done it, so I don't know how it would turn out. I might try it though, I would assume that as an orange veggie - it would be a decent first food!! =) |

my grandma makes fresh pumpkin pie every year. She cuts off the outside (skin), cleans out the pumpkin cuts it in cubes and freezes it. When she is ready to use it, she boils in for about 10 minutes until it's soft. Then she mashes it and makes the pumpkin pie.
Hope this helps!! ![]() |
