Can anyone recommend a good hand/stick blender? I need to replace my hand mixer and get a hand blender that I can blend in a bowl or pot, so, one that comes with attachments to whisk or mix like my hand mixer would be great too. I hate uni-taskers...so, If I can get a stick blender that will do a lot of stuff with the one tool - it would be great!

I make soups and 'blend' a lot, so, would need to be sturdy...not cost more than $35.00 or so and the parts need to be dishwasher safe. I know, I ask for a lot ...but, I'm a picky appliance buyer!

Any ideas???

I wish I knew one to recommend. I just retired my moms old hand mixer a few months ago and bought a new one at Target for like $10 and it's awful! It's too powerful and on the lowest setting it flings shit everywhere! Urgh!! Fortunately I don't use it very much.
