nursing and pregnancy
What do you guys think about nursing while pregnant? Ty isn't ready-not even close, maybe in a month or 2 but not now and I think if memory serves I nursed Jake until I was 4 months along. Just want to hear everyones thoughts and opinions and factual info you want to share. I just would hate to wean Ty before he is ready, KWIM?

I think you can nurse as long as you and Ty are comfortable. I think the major concern is that your body won't produce as much milk. But I could be off with that.

I have friends IRL who breastfed through pregnancy and then tandem nursed afterwards. It's all up to you how long you nurse him. Or, it coul be up to him, some quit at about 5 months due to lower supply or taste changes.
Oh, and since I haven't been able to tell you yet-
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

As long as you don't have any problems with pre-trem labor (or miscarriages)there is no medical reason why you have to wean.
Everything is up to you and you nursling.

I had wanted to at least get to the 1 year mark with Mason, it didn't work out that way for me though
I have the book "adventures in tandem nursing" if you want it

I know my nephew was still nursing a month or so ago and his sister was born a week ago. I was going to ask today if he still nursed (to bed and when he wakes up) but since her MIL was there I did not ask. And several people in my LLL group have done it.
