Default What's going on?!?

I don't think i'm producing enough any more. He's up even more now at night then he has been. He was mad as anything tonight, because it didn't seem like enough was coming out when I was putting him to sleep. He went from side to side, and was mad. Any ideas? What should i do?? Should I consider this weaning?

He may have just been hungrier than ussual tonight and your supply wasn't up to his demand. You may have a temporary drop and the extra nursing is needed to increase your supply (either because you supply dropped or he now wants more). He's over a year now, so you could try encouraging some good proteins before bed to go with the nursing and see if that helps him sleep any. He could be going trough a growth spurt - pretty normal around 1 year.

This is only weaning if you want it to be weaning.

Is there anything else that could be bothering him? Virus of some kind - that will increase nursing for comfort. Is he trying to learn any major new skills right now? That can also cause a child to nurse more.

Also just do the basics for upping supply if that is the problem. Increase liquid consumption. Oatmeal if you can eat it. Check back on some of the other links about supply issues for more ideas.
