I thaught BFing was suposed to make them sick LESS often?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? Mike had a really bad cough, low fever(i think he still dose) and a runny nose. His cough is improving, and it never got to the point to where he couldn't sleep. Dean is MISERABLE.He can't sleep, keeps chokeing on his post nasal drip(i'm assuming) and his nose is itchy as well as his eyes. He can't sleep. He can't suck on his binkey and breathe, and he can't nurse and breathe. Why dose he keep getting sick?!?!?!

I asked myself that many a time when Liriel was really sick. And when she was on her 3rd EI. But what I did notice is that Liriel would recover faster than the other kids at DC who got the same illness (since most of our illnesses came from there) and she usually didn't get as seriously ill as the others of similar age who were not still being BF.
Most likely Mike is bring home these lovely bugs from pre-school and kindly sharing them with his little brother. Now with school out - or soon to be out - hopefully everyone will get healthier. ![]() Congested nursling who can't breath and nurse - steamy shower with Mom helped us a lot. That is the #1 reason I started bringing Liriel into the shower with me actually. Because at least after being in the shower a bit, she could nurse while she was in it and briefly after she got out of it. I also found laying her across my arm with her face DOWN towards the floor would really help clear out her sinus in the shower first thing in the morning. ![]() |
