I love my boys!!
|
On Friday, it's going to be the first time i'm going to leave Dean and be gone more than an hour. It's the first time in almost 9 months. He normally nurses at 10, and then again at 12. My oreintation starts at 8, and they think it's going to be over at 12:30. I was told by my boss that i can bring my pump, and if i feel full, i can go to her office and pump. It's more emotional than I ever would have imagined. Dh asked when I was going to wean, and I told him that it's harder emotionally than physically. I enjoy the quiet sweet times i have with him. DH wants to take a small vacation, just the 2 of us this summer, and i feel so torn about
is that normal?I just want to I have to go to bed, Dean will be up soon, and I have to get up early to take Mike to school.... thanks for listening. ![]() |

My uterus is screaming at me to MAKE MORE BABIES!!

What is it with guys and asking about weaning? Joe used to, until I schooled him on the recommendation of 2 years by the WHO (and soon to be AAP hopefully), and Josi showed problems with cows milk. Ugh. Sorry, just annoyed with that question on my end here.
I would have to say that you will do fine at your thing. Take the pump, and Dean should be fine too. I'm not sure about going away, it shouldn't be a reason to wean anyway. You can always take the pump, just try to coordinate his nursings to where it would be convenient to pump while gone. I personally can't leave my kids this young, but I am not comfortable that way. Loralei stayed away from us for the first time, a night when she was 2 and I.did.not.sleep. It's gotten better, but it really only got better for me after Josi was born and I had her with me. I don't know what I'll do when they grow up ! Maybe suggest to DH that you'd rather go somewhere later on in the year, like fall/winter time. That gives you time to plan it out and work on his nursings to make pumping while gone work. I really really could use a night just myself and DH at this point, but we are too broke ! |

Because I said so, that's why!

It's a normal feeling. And the trip is no reason to wean. Even if you have to pump and dump if you can't store it. You would at least be keeping up your supply.
As for wean you are going to wean, tell him you hope to wean him before he starts college, as trips to the dorm could get inconvenient. ![]() |
