Is his throat sore or is he on a nursing strike?

If he completely refuses, I would pump so your supply doesn't crash.

Try nursing him when he's half asleep (or asleep) if possible. Babies who are refusing nursing are often more receptive then.

Tylonal. But nursing is suppose to help sooth too. But the only time Liriel refused to nurse at that age was when she was so congested she just gave up because she couldn't breath and nurse at the same time.

If this is the case, consider nursing in a hot shower. The steam will help clear him up long enough to get at least 1 nursing session in. You want to make sure you are pushing the fluids for both of them - which includes nursing. You don't want either to get dehydrated. They can go days without food, but not without liquids.

He will only nurse for like 3 minutes, and not very often. I finally had to pump last night, because i was leaking....I got 2 oz, and there was no way i was empty...just wanted to release some...i tried to nurse him this morning, and he didn't want it, so i put the EBM in a bottle, and he took that. Now i'm wondering if he's trying to wean How often do i need to pump? I really don't want to go to formula, so i'm willing to nurse him at night if he will take it, and give him EBM in a bottle...
