Because I said so, that's why!

I just found this link to the World Health Organizations Anthro software and macros for figuring out where your child is compared to their growth charts.
http://www.who.int/childgrowth/software/en/index.html It amused me to put in DD's stats. She was down to the 4.6% for length for age at 6 months. Not much better at 4 months. Then by her 2nd birthday 34.2% for height. I think starting day care put a bit of a slow down in DD's growth. I think she was actually taller than I was at those ages. But she is super chunky on those charts. Up in the 90+% at times. BF babies are suppose to be skinnier on average, not super chunky. I guess no one bothered to tell her that. You can put all your kids stats into it if you have more than 1, that way you can compare them. Even though your not suppose to do that. ![]() Here is an English to Metric conversion if you need it: http://www.psinvention.com/zoetic/convert.htm |

I kind of wonder too. You would think they would be. But I know my clinic is all computerized now, so they would have to pay someone a ton of money to get it incorporated into their computer system. And since they already have one, they probably won't feel the need anytime soon to do so. It took them a long time to use growth charts that included BF babies, vs. just formula fed ones, so I wouldn't expect to see a change any time soon.
