WOW, it is going AWSOME! I never thought it could be so rewarding. I was supplementing one-two bottles a day. I thought she was constapated bc she wasn't having any poopies. She cries anytime she needs to go and only goes once a day, if that. I stopped the formula because I thought that could be the culprit. She is still having major issues and is now starting to have projectile spit up. When she does have a poopie, it is all runny and yellow but they are rare and far in between. Any suggestions? We are going to the doctor tomorrow.
Yellow and runny is normal for a bf'ed baby. It is possible that the formula was causing tummy issues.
I would say stay away from the forumla and see if that changes things.

You also shouldn't need to supplement. She will just nurse longer for several days to up your supply.
You could try rubber her tummy clockwise. That is suppose to help move things along. Another option is bicycling her legs. That too is suppose to help.

I agree wiht what the other ladies posted but also wanted to add that in addition to a growth spurt at 6 weeks, that is also the most fussy week in their life so far and then the fussiness should decrease. I can imagine that the formula might cause tummy issues. Hope she feels better soon!
Yes, yellow and runny is normal for a bfed baby... Brody had that all the way up til we started solids.. Also, for about a month, Brody only pooped once a week, and that was around Clarysa's age... I asked the Doctor about it and she said it's because they want to hold onto all the nutrients possible, so it is kept in for a longer time (which is easy to do for a bfed baby)... so it's normal, but something that might help is taking her temp to help stimulate

Though you only want to use this if it's been a few days at least, because it can cause the baby to become dependent on this method to poop if you use it too much. I hope all is well and your doctor can set your mind at ease.
