Yes... I'm an arcade addict!!
|
Well you all know we were down with the flu for 4-5 days and we farmed the kids out to family. The medication I was prescribed (Tamiflu) isn't approved for breastfeeding, but I had to take it. So I've been pumping and dumping for the last 5 days, tomorrow is my last day!! I have some frozen milk in the freezer, but it was too hard to try and explain the guidelines while I was so sick, so we had formula samples and had them give her that. I feel a little guilty, but we really didn't have much of a choice.
She'll be one year next week, so whole milk is in her future, but I hope to still be able to nurse her morning and night. It will be nice not to have to pump anymore! I am really proud of myself for making it this far even if we did have to give some formula this past week. I nursed Carter for 11 months, but we heavily supplemented with formula at 6 months. |

Because I said so, that's why!

WTG on making the 1 year mark.
Personally I would have just given her cows milk last week since she is so close anyway. Assuming she is eating a lot of solids by now. But that's just me. But the formula was better nutritionally than the cows milk. You should be able to continue to nurse for some time if you both want too. How did she take to the formula anyway? |
