Now that my milk is coming in, does the full feeling ever go away? No matter how much I nurse Clarysa, I feel so full and my boobs are so tender. Any sort of bumping kills.

Also . . . will waiting to nurse affect my supply? I had to run a million errands today and so Clarysa was starving by the time we were done (although she was sleeping the entire time, when we got home, she sure told me who was boss). How do you do it?

I remember in the beginning feeling full ALL the time... I would pump off after a feeding for relief, not a lot but just enough to feel better... The first couple of weeks to a month do take getting use to but your body catches up, doesn't get as sore anymore and it gets a whole lot better

Eventually you will only have the "full" feeling when you have waited to long to nurse. I think it was a couple months before that went away completly. But as Angela said - a few weeks to a month or so and it will start evening out. Right now your supply is mostly hormone driven, but as time goes by it will be supply and demand driven.

Things do get a lot easier. Stick with it. Try not to miss a feeding and feed as much as possible. I nursed on demand at this age. When Austin was crying, I was nursing him.

Yup agree with the girls on the fullness.

I stop mid way and nurse Tierney in the car b/c for me to go anywhere it takes 40 mins 1 way. i can't do a whole trip on one feeding.
