At about 1 week old when the Jaundice was going away. By the time she was 2 weeks old I didn't need to wake her for feedings.
If she's nursing at least every 4 hours (can probably get 1 5-6 hour stretch at night) and is gaining weight and happy. I wouldn't worry about waking her up to nurse.

I never had to wake my babies. They were always awake and ready to nurse.

I only did it for the first couple of weeks. After that, Brody's ped said that I could just let him sleep but not longer than 4 hours during the day and no longer than 6 at night. That made things a lot easier.

I agree with everyone. I'd try and go a little longer between feedings, maybe 3-4 hours?

I must have freakish babies, both of mine were wanting to eat every 1 1/2- 2 hours at that age! My LC said until they are 6 weeks old they should eat at least every 3 hours during the day. But, my babies have never started off too big. She gave a little different advice to the lady who birthed a ten pounder with fists the size of a two month old!
I think you will just know when Tricia. You can't force her to eat if she isn't hungry, so don't worry. If it makes you feel better about your nursing relationship, you do it.
